Crook County Safety Action Plan

Our goal is to make Crook County safer with zero roadway deaths.

Plan Background

In 2024, Crook County was awarded $160,000 through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program to develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP). This funding provides us the opportunity to develop a plan that expands upon existing transportation goals and objectives to make Crook County safer, with a goal of zero roadway deaths.

CSAP Analysis

The CSAP will include a safety analysis of:

Road Users

The CSAP will utilize this data, along with future forecasted conditions, to develop a plan that will analyze Crook County’s entire transportation system to identify high priority safety locations and provide recommendations to address issues at these locations. The recommendations will be prioritized and developed into short-, mid- and long-term projects to create an implementation plan for the area.
